CDL TRAINING

OVERVIEW

Our CDL Training: Class A Tractor Trailer program teaches students defensive driving techniques, safe operating procedures, and range maneuvers essential for success on the road. With access to our facilities and industry-experienced instructors, students can gain practical experience driving big rigs in various road, traffic, and weather conditions.

Enrollment is on a rolling basis!

Program is not eligible for Title IV funding.
**CDL is a licensure program and students must obtain a license to be employed in the field. However, licensure is not a requirement to complete the program.

FREQUENTLY

ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU NEED PRIOR EXPERIENCE BEFORE ENROLLING IN OUR CDL CLASS A TRAINING: TRACTOR TRAILER PROGRAM?

No prior experience is required to enroll in our CDL Class A program since it’s designed to train individuals with varying experience levels. Industry-experienced instructors guide students through the training process, to help prepare them for a career in commercial driving.

That said, this program may require applicants to meet certain requirements prior to acceptance.

DETERMINE YOUR

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for our CDL Class A Training program applicants must:

be 18 years or older

comply with state/federal cdl regulations

have a valid driver’s license

hold clear motor vehicle report***

***Applicants can’t have any of the following on their motor vehicle report (basted on the date of their violation):

• DUI/DWI convictions within five years of completion date (of our CDL program). If there are two DUI/DWIs the second must be 10 years back or farther from completion date.
• At fault accidents within the last year. If there are two accidents, the second must be at least four years back.
• Endangerment convictions within two years.
• Reckless/careless/negligent driving convictions within two years.
• Traffic points exceeding four active points on current license.

If any of these convictions exist or driver history criteria is not met, an employer pre-hire letter is acceptable documentation. This letter must include the student’s name and be in the form of an actual letter from a valid entity (i.e., business is listed/validated, on company letterhead)
